Development of event tourism in the Arctic regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

Abstract

The scientific article is devoted to the study of the development of event tourism in the Arctic regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The authors analyse the current state of event tourism in the region, its potential and development features. The article examines the reasons for the growing popularity of event tourism in the Arctic regions, as well as discusses the possibilities and prospects for the development of this type of tourism in Yakutia. The research can be useful for specialists in the field of tourism, regional studies and territorial development. Event tourism is one of the most effective tools in attracting travelers in the world and therefore its development is of strategic importance for the development of the tourism industry in Yakutia. The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is located in the Arctic zone and is one of the coldest regions in the world. Despite this, there are many opportunities for the development of event tourism. Currently, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is one of the most unique regions located in the Arctic zone. The rich natural resources and cultural heritage of this region offer ample opportunities for tourism development. This article discusses the main aspects of the development of event tourism in the Arctic regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), including a description of the events, their impact on the development of the territory and the economy, as well as measures to attract and retain tourists.
