Technologies and innovations for sustainable agricultural development in the Arctic: an overview of advanced technologies contributing to the sustainable use of Arctic resources

Abstract
The article provides an overview of advanced technologies that can contribute to the sustainable use of Arctic resources and examines current and potential technological solutions that can transform agriculture in Arctic conditions. The authors analyse both those already used and those being developed innovative approaches, including biotechnology, digitalisation and the use of renewable sources energy that can improve the efficiency and sustainability of the Arctic agricultural sector. It is the sustainable development of the northern agricultural industry that determines the food security of the inhabitants of the North, the variety, quality and abundance of their daily menu. The development of the agro-industrial complex creates new jobs, new enterprises, and therefore incomes of the population and territories. The article discusses advanced technologies for the sustainable use of Arctic resources. The authors note the important role of the influence of both internal and external factors on this process. The importance of education, both specialized and environmental, on this influence is shown. The application of foreign experience in Arctic agriculture also gives a positive result. These technologies are capable of transforming agriculture in Arctic conditions, increasing the efficiency and sustainability of the agricultural sector. At the same time, adaptation to the unique climatic conditions and environmental requirements of the region is important. The article offers a comprehensive overview of the current state and prospects of agricultural development in the Arctic, emphasising the importance of integrating innovations to achieve sustainable use of resources. And their integration is the way to the technological development of Russia, to achieve its technological sovereignty, in accordance with the Instructions of the President of the Russian Federation.
